A fixed wood window jamb and head condition integrates with a framed gypsum wallboard partition. Two layers of five-eighths-inch gypsum board on each side attach over metal z-channel tape-in reveals at the frame edge. Solid wood backing is provided at each side of the opening with quarter-inch wood shims typically applied. Applied wood stops secure the half-inch glazing set in gaskets, maintaining fire assembly ratings where required. Finish alignments are coordinated between the framing and wall finishes.
