An overhead sectional door track and assembly abuts a framed wall conditioned with wood framing and insulation. A one-quarter inch thick powder-coated steel plate is fastened along the centerline of the wall using countersunk fasteners. Joint sealant is applied at the interface between the wood framing infill and the adjacent construction. Gypsum board trims the interior side of the wall assembly.
