This assembly features a pre-molded pipe flashing boot installed over a roof penetration in roof assembly R01. The base of the flashing is secured to the roof deck with fasteners and plates spaced at a maximum of 12 inches on center. A minimum 1 1/2-inch wide hot-air weld is applied to the flashing base, extending beyond the fastening plates to ensure a watertight seal. The top of the pipe boot is sealed with water cut-off mastic and secured against the pipe using a stainless steel clamping ring. A rain hood is positioned above the clamping ring to deflect water away from the penetration.
