An expansion joint cover assembly with concrete infill is installed between a topping slab and site paving or stairs to accommodate three inches of movement across a six-inch clear opening. The joint features a concrete curb supported by structural steel below. A continuous fabric-reinforced vapor barrier laps under the vertical vapor barrier for proper drainage, while curb waterproofing laps over the seismic joint vapor barrier. The concrete infill matches the adjacent topping slab designed for a live load of one hundred pounds per square foot.
