This interior wall detail features a one-hour rated partition constructed with metal studs spaced at sixteen inches on center and finished with one layer of five-eighths-inch gypsum wallboard on each side. One side incorporates a one-sixteenth-inch lead lining with a two-inch wide lead strip fastened to the track, alongside wire mesh and base trim. The wall ties into the structure above using a deep leg deflection track that allows for a one-half to one-inch nominal gap at the slab without direct track-to-track attachment. Acoustical sealant is applied at the joints, and metal runners are set in a continuous mastic bed at the base. Acoustic batt insulation is installed within the stud cavity when applicable.
