A cut steel channel stringer is welded to a steel plate supported by a composite concrete deck over structural steel framing. Steel bar stanchions with cable rail fittings attach to the stair assembly. Below the concrete slab, metal stud framing carries a painted five-eighths inch gypsum board finish with a casing bead and a continuous bead of sealant at the interface.
