A drain pipe penetrates a concrete walk and curb adjacent to a transition manifold and pipe schedule table. The concrete walk thickens to nine inches at the drain pipe location and is reinforced with 6x6-10/10 welded wire mesh centered between the top of the walk and the top of the pipe, extending two feet beyond the pipe on each side. An eighth-inch asphalt-impregnated sheathing is cut to fit and surrounds the pipe as typical at all pipe-curb penetrations, supplemented by four-foot long rebar at the penetration and a one-quarter inch galvanized steel angle extended minimum four inches each way of the manifold. The surrounding site features a minimum three-inch ground cover bermed up at the drain pipe, a finish paving matching the site plan, and a minimum slope of one-eighth inch per foot.
