An acoustical ceiling terminates at a wood-framed partition wall with a two-by double top plate and solid blocking below the floor joists. The wall features two-by wood studs sized per structural drawings and is finished with gypsum board on both sides per the finish schedule. A topset base or approved equal is applied at the finish floor level, which is detailed per schedules. Caulking is installed at each side of the wall base, maintaining a one-half inch minimum clearance to the acoustical ceiling.
