High-low drinking fountains are mounted with a maximum rim height of 38 to 43 inches above the finished floor, providing a knee clearance of 27 inches minimum and a spout outlet height of 36 inches maximum. The bubbler is activated by a manually operated system complying with Section 11B-602.6, front or side mounted within 6 inches of the front edge, or by an electronically controlled device.
