A stainless steel strut channel measuring 1-5/8 inches by 12 gauge is attached to a PVC interior wall panel over a continuous vapor retarder and backing track. The channel is fastened using plastic hollow wall anchors with one-quarter inch screws spaced at one foot on center maximum, set in thread locker. The strut channel is discontinued in the way of flush and surface mounted electrical and telecommunication panels.
