Reinforced concrete trench conditions at a slab on grade incorporate both single mat and double mat rebar configurations for intersections and corners. Vertical reinforcement includes four number five bars typically unless noted otherwise at double mat intersections, and two number five bars typically at single mat intersections. Horizontal lap splices are provided along the walls with alternate bends and ninety-degree hooks typically. A corner bar may be used in lieu of a standard ninety-degree bend at exterior corners.
