A metal pipe or conduit passes through an opening in a six-inch rated gypsum board and metal stud partition. The annular space between the penetrating conduit and the wall assembly is sealed with fire-rated sealant per the rated assembly requirements up to a maximum of four hours, referencing UL system W-L-1001 or equivalent.
