A rectangular scupper box penetrates through a framed wall opening lined with a self-adhering water-resistive barrier liner extending nine inches from the rough opening. Liquid-applied flashing covers the bottom, sides, and top of the scupper box, and extends onto the wall substrate. The primary water-resistive barrier laps over the liquid-applied flashing above the scupper and is terminated with sealant-5 to maintain an airtight and watertight air barrier. Below the scupper, the primary water-resistive barrier laps under the base of the self-adhering liner. The scupper projects outward with a half-inch drip edge at the lower front edge, sealed against the wall assembly with sealant-5.
