A pipe penetrates a partition wall as scheduled, maintaining the sound transmission class rating of the surrounding assembly. Mineral fiber acoustical sound insulation is tightly packed into the annular space around the penetration. An acoustic sealant is provided as required to accommodate the STC rating, featuring a twenty-five millimeter crown around the penetrating pipe.
