A precast concrete wheel stop is anchored to existing asphalt concrete paving using two number four anchor rods twelve inches long at each wheel stop. These dowels extend through the wheel stop and into the pavement, set in epoxy grout. The asphalt paving rests on a prepared subgrade, and the concrete has a minimum compressive strength of three thousand psi with a minimum weight of one hundred ninety pounds at a length of six feet. The wheel stop is painted a contrasting color.
