An exterior book drop unit is installed within a wood-framed wall assembly. The unit is secured to continuous blocking around the rough opening, with the book drop collar integrated into the weather-resistive barrier (WRB-1) and finished with FAF-1 flashing. Shadow molding is installed around the perimeter of the book drop to provide a clean transition between the unit and the interior wall finish. The assembly includes air barrier (AB-1) continuity and blocking as required to support the unit and maintain the integrity of the wall envelope.
