This hollow metal frame jamb detail connects a metal stud partition finished with wall tile over tile backer units and gypsum board. The jamb uses two twenty-gauge minimum metal studs to support the hollow metal frame assembly. A bond coat adheres the wall tile where scheduled, and sealant is applied at the frame interfaces. Gypsum board is provided at the tile base for backing.
