An acoustic partition wall assembly features parallel metal studs framed on each side with five-eighths-inch gypsum board. Acoustic batt insulation fills the cavities between the framing members. An air gap separates the two independent stud rows to minimize sound transmission across the partition. A scheduled table provides partition type 0C3Z with a stud size of three and five-eighths inches, an overall width per plans, a zero-hour fire rating, and a minimum STC rating of 59.
