Cold-formed steel studs terminate below a concrete mezzanine slab on metal decking with an intervening metal stud track. A one-half-inch maximum gap between the top of the gypsum board and studs and the bottom of the deck contains a UL-listed fire stop. Mineral wool insulation fills the cavity between the metal studs. Gypsum board clads the stud wall faces.
