A base cabinet is secured to the wall and floor assembly through multiple fastening points. A backing plate is anchored into the stud wall for cabinet upper support. The cabinet back is fastened using number fourteen by three and a half inch wood screws, with a minimum of two per cabinet spaced at a maximum of sixteen inches on center typically. The cabinet bottom is secured with number ten by two and a half inch flat head sheet metal screws spaced at eight inches on center into a two-by-four blocking member. The subfloor consists of concrete or wood as occurs beneath the two-by-four framing.
