A curtainwall sill intersects a composite concrete deck bearing on a wide-flange steel beam. The aluminum curtain wall system is anchored via steel plate clips welded to the structural steel beam. A continuous perimeter fire safing assembly consists of a minimum four-inch thick mineral wool fire safing with a minimum four pounds per cubic foot density, backed by a continuous sheet metal reinforcement angle per design number HI/BPF 150-01. Additionally, a minimum two-inch thick foil-faced curtain wall insulation with a minimum eight pounds per cubic foot density completely fills the void and covers the vertical mullions, secured to the framing member with pins. An extruded aluminum trim matches the framing with a continuous sealant joint. A motorized Mecho-Shade is mounted to a steel plate clip on the framing, provided not in contract.
