A 1 1/4-inch nominal diameter steel pipe handrail runs parallel to the stair slope, supported by 1 1/4-inch nominal diameter steel pipe vertical posts spaced at forty-eight inches on center unless otherwise noted. Each vertical post anchors into a 2 1/2-inch diameter minimum concrete insert embedded in the concrete stair treads and risers, filled with non-shrink grout. All stair railing connections and intersections are welded and ground smooth.
