An aluminum curtain wall system mullion frames insulated glass at the glazing line and abuts an exterior wall extension constructed of metal stud framing. A weather-resistant barrier is applied over one-half-inch glass-mat gypsum sheathing board behind an exterior insulation finish system with a drainage system installed per the manufacturer's specifications. A painted metal bent plate, finished on all sides to match the curtain wall, terminates the wall assembly at the mullion junction. A black neoprene gasket compressed at least twenty percent or an approved sealant seals the joint at rated partitions.
