An interior storefront sill rests on a minimum 4-inch concrete slab separating a corridor or hallway side from a room side. The storefront frame is secured using mechanical fasteners and shims as required by the window manufacturer, with anchors spaced at 18 inches on center and 6 inches on both sides of vertical mullions. Flooring finishes apply to the concrete substrate on the corridor side, while the wall assembly above features 5/8-inch gypsum board over metal studs with sound batt insulation.
