A two-hour fire-rated steel column assembly integrated with a scheduled wall. A hollow structural section tube steel column is framed with one-and-five-eighths-inch metal studs and finished with two layers of one-half-inch gypsum board plus an outer layer of five-eighths-inch gypsum board. Metal corner trim with one-and-one-half-inch legs is installed at exterior corners. Installation must comply with Gypsum Association design GA CM 2452 for the required two-hour column rating.
