A threaded cleanout plug is installed in a test tee within the plumbing stack, aligning with a removable cover plate and securing screw set flush in the finished wall surface. The vent pipe passes through the existing roof construction, maintaining a minimum 12-inch clearance above the roof membrane. A metal collar matched to the roof slope surrounds the vent pipe and is secured with a stainless steel band, with sealant applied at joints and transitions. The roof penetration annular space is filled with non-asphaltic sealant.
