A cold-formed steel stud connects to a metal deck using a slip track and a continuous metal plate. The slip track is sized as required and fastened to the track flanges. A continuous plate spans two ribs of the metal deck and is secured with screws on each side of the stud. Screws fasten the cold-formed steel stud to the metal plate at each stud location.
