A wall-mounted steel handrail assembly includes a one-and-a-half-inch outside diameter steel pipe rail secured with a three-quarter-inch outside diameter steel bracket. All joints on the bracket are welded and ground smooth with a painted finish. A three-and-a-quarter-inch diameter by three-eighths-inch thick escutcheon covers the wall penetration at the steel anchor plate. Wall anchor specifications and the number of anchor plates are deferred submittals. A Type C backing plate is embedded behind the face of the wall.
