An epoxy-coated welded wire reinforcement, specifically 6X6-W1.4/W1.4, reinforces the broom-finished concrete pavement resting on a granular base and compacted subgrade. The pavement terminates at a zero-radius square edge at the joint interface. A preformed expansion joint filler complying with AASHTO M-33 fills the joint gap. The top of the joint is sealed with silicone joint sealant conforming to ASTM D5893NS, tooled 3/8 inch below the finished surface with maximum gap dimensions specified.
