The stair assembly utilizes an HSS 12x2x1/4 hollow structural section as the stringer, which is painted where exposed unless noted otherwise. Steel pan and riser units are welded at seams and to L2x2 steel angle clips at each stringer. The tread pans contain a 2-inch concrete infill, with a scheduled finish and a 2-inch contrast strip applied at the nosing. All steel angles are painted where exposed.
