The middle stair stringer connects to the stair landing slab, which is supported by a wide flange steel beam. A seven-eighths-inch hat channel is positioned adjacent to the middle stair stringer with a one-inch clearance. Cold-formed steel framing components tie into the assembly at the landing ceiling intersection.
