The splayed seismic brace wire is secured to the underside of the concrete structure using a minimum twelve gauge steel strap measuring three inches wide by two inches long. Three Hilti X-U fasteners with one-and-a-half-inch embedment at one-inch spacing anchor the strap to the structure at a forty-five degree angle. The wire features four tight turns at both ends. A vertical hanger wire with a test load of two hundred pounds incorporates a three-quarter-inch thirteenth gauge ceiling clip and three tight turns at both ends. One in two brace wires requires testing to four hundred forty pounds typically.
