A grab bar is mounted to a framed wall assembly with interior finish layers. Two-by-eight wood blocking is installed within the stud cavity at each grab bar connection point. The wood blocking may be replaced by twenty gauge sheet metal based on project requirements. Wall types and equipment mounting heights must be coordinated with architectural plans.
