An HSS portal frame post bears on a one and one-half inch thick by nine inches wide by one foot four inches long base plate secured by four seven-eighths inch diameter anchor bolts embedded one foot six inches into a reinforced concrete grade beam. A one and one-half inch layer of non-shrink grout fills the space beneath the base plate. A concrete slab and concrete curb surround the base of the post per structural drawings.
