An exterior light fixture mounts to an insulated metal panel wall using a back box attached to strut channel framing at the top and bottom or sides. Continuous exposed sealant is applied along the top and sides of the fixture connection, leaving the bottom unsealed to allow drainage. Field-applied insulation surrounds the electrical conduit penetrating the wall as required per electrical specifications.
