A pre-finished metal frame at a corridor door opening is installed within a gypsum board partition on metal stud framing. Wood trim is attached to the gypsum board and resilient channels without contacting the metal framing. Joint sealant with a backer rod is specified around the frame perimeter per the joint sealant schedule. The door leaf is scheduled separately, and dimensions indicate a zero and one-half inch clearance alongside zero and one-quarter inch reveals.
