This assembly consists of a concrete ramp slab with a medium broom finish, providing a four-foot clear width between guardrail posts. The guardrail posts are embedded directly into the concrete curbs on either side of the ramp. The handrail height is maintained between thirty-four and thirty-eight inches above the ramp surface, with a secondary rail height between thirty and thirty-four inches. The curb height is specified at four inches, with a minimum one-inch clearance above the adjacent grade. The maximum height of the curb relative to the surrounding grade is thirty inches.
