The storefront system sits on preservative-treated wood blocking secured to the concrete suspended slab. A continuous sealant and backer rod joint occurs at the storefront sill, with the slab surface sloped at one-quarter inch per foot away from the glazing. The interior face of the slab features five-eighths inch Type X gypsum board. The suspended slab connects to the tilt-up concrete monolithic panel via a bent plate and a steel plate, with foil-faced polyisocyanurate board insulation installed between the slab edge and the panel. A three-quarter inch chamfer strip is applied to the exterior edge of the concrete slab.
