This assembly consists of a metal stud partition wall abutting a concrete wall. Gypsum wall board is installed on both sides of the metal stud framing, with batt insulation placed within the stud cavity where scheduled. Acrylic sealant is applied at the joint between the gypsum board and the concrete wall on both sides. For fire-rated wall assemblies, fire-rated sealant is required at this junction.
