A continuous twenty-two gauge minimum three-inch deep leg deflection track attaches to the fluted steel deck at twelve inches on center maximum. The gap between the concrete slab and the top of the wall is filled with mineral wool insulation. A continuous two-inch wide by twenty-two gauge metal strap ties the gypsum board together, with the gypsum board attached to the strap at eight inches on center maximum. Spray-applied firestop material is applied to each side with a minimum one-half-inch overlap at the gypsum board and deck. Gypsum board and studs remain unattached to the deflection track in this designated area.
