A metal stud partition wall with five-eighths inch gypsum board on both sides connects to an intersecting ceiling assembly framed with metal joists at sixteen inches on center. The ceiling underside is finished with five-eighths inch Type X gypsum board, and the cavity contains R-19 insulation where required. A suspended acoustic ceiling system runs adjacent to the partition wall. Three number eight sheet metal screws secure the framing components at the wall intersection.
