A concrete walk with a thickened edge bears directly on compacted soil over natural grade, with thickness sized per plans. The concrete edge features a tooled one-half-inch radius edge, and expansion or control joints are provided at twelve feet each way. Finish grade sits one inch at sod and one and one-half inches at ground cover adjacent to the thickened edge. Sub-slab preparation is performed per the soils report, and finishes are coordinated with the site plan.
