A glass guardrail is installed using a CRL 8B10D four and one-eighth inch high shoe positioned in a notch between the precast terrazzo tread and the stair wrap. The three-ply cross-laminated timber stair wrap is notched to receive and fit around the wide-flange steel stair framing member. Doweled and glued connections secure the wood components together with a two-inch clearance typical. The wide-flange steel framing supports the entire stair assembly per structural requirements.
