An exterior wall outer corner assembly features cold-formed metal framing covered with five-eighths-inch exterior sheathing and an air-water-resistive barrier. Rigid insulation is installed over the exterior face, secured with panel clips fastened by two screws. Sealant is applied over the heads of all fasteners penetrating the weather barrier. An aluminum ribbed metal panel wraps the corner with an outside corner flashing piece.
