An independent light fixture suspension is provided using twelve-gauge hanger wire secured with minimum four tight turns over one and one-half inches at both ends. Compression struts and twelve-gauge restraining wires splayed ninety degrees from each other and forty-five degrees from the ceiling plane are attached to the main runners at bracing points using one-quarter-inch diameter machine bolts. The light fixture is secured to the ceiling grid for horizontal stability within the exposed T-bar acoustical ceiling tile system.
