A partition head assembly intersects a concrete-filled metal deck roof with parallel offset orientation under UL Design No. HW-D-0539. A slotted top track accommodates structural movement at the top of the wall, framed with type 3 insulation and spray-applied firestopping in the deck flutes. Spray-applied fireproofing is applied to the underside of the roof assembly. A minimum one-half inch overlap is specified at the joint conditions with three-quarters of an inch typical spacing.
