A hollow metal steel frame is set within a partition as scheduled, coordinated with the partition type and finished per the door schedule. A box header is installed as required above the opening to support the assembly. Continuous acoustical sealant is applied on all sides between the frame and the partition finish. The door leaf meets the frame header overhead, with the hollow metal frame continuing beyond.
