A maximum two-inch diameter PVC pipe penetrates a partition assembly with an optional minimum four-inch diameter steel sleeve. Firestopping sealant is applied within the annular space flush with each end of the sleeve at five-eighths of an inch for a one-hour fire rating and one and one-quarter inches for a two-hour rating. The annular space measures a minimum of one-quarter inch to a maximum of one and three-quarters inches per plans. The assembly complies with Underwriters Laboratories listing W-L-2075.
