The roof drain assembly integrates into the roof sheathing with tapered rigid insulation sloping toward the drain sump at less than three inches to one horizontal foot. A reinforced membrane waterproofing layer extends over the insulation and interfaces with the roof drain flange. Joint sealant is applied at the transition between the drain housing and the membrane. The drain is installed per the manufacturer's recommendations.
