An acoustic ceiling runner terminates at a wall edge molding with a floating slip connection for seismic compliance. A twelve-gauge perimeter hanger wire supports the runner at a maximum spacing of eight inches typical from the wall. A seismic clip accommodates differential movement between the ceiling grid and the wall angle, leaving the runner unattached at the perimeter.
